America’s Cup 1987 Gift Pack From Australia Post RARE OPPORTUNITY! You are bidding on a souvenir gift pack issued by Australia Post to commemorate Australia’s winning of the America’s Cup and subsequent defense in Fremantle, Western Australia. This pack is in mint condition and has been in storage since it was issued. I will give details of each item below. So here we go: 1) A sailor’s drawstring kitbag in Australia’s official colours. Bag is still sealed in plastic bag and in perfect condition. 2) Winning & Defending The Cup A superb 96-page hardcover book. Published by Angus & Robertson and printed in Australia. A great book covering the history of the America’s Cup, the 12-metre formula and Australia’s winning of the Cup in 1983. Also covers the Challengers for the 1987 Cup Series and many other features. 3) Genuine Kevlar sailcloth bookmark. A really unique piece of America’s Cup memorabilia, this bookmark has been cut from Kevlar para aramid fibre sail material obtained from the Australia II sail loft, Perth, Western Australia. 4) A souvenir stand-up 1986/87 calendar. Comes with six detachable postcards and a score card for the 1987 Cup race. 5) Large full colour nautical chart. A detailed map of the 1987 America’s Cup course off the coast of Freemantle, Western Australia. This would look fantastic nicely framed on the wall. Well, that’s it. Good Luck.
